Job Title: Transport Agent (Primary or Secondary)

The White Oak Bridge is Connecticut's first Adult-Use Transporter, pioneering compliant, professional logistics for the regulated cannabis industry. Our multidisciplinary team ensures safe, secure, and efficient transportation of products across the state. We're building an industry standard for reliability and regulatory excellence, and we need dependable people to make it happen.

About The Role:

This is an on-call independent contractor position. We typically notify you of shifts 24-48 hours in advance. Hours can vary 5-8hrs per shift. You can expect 2–3 shifts per week on average, though availability varies week to week. Start time is usually 7:30am, but can be earlier. This role is perfect if you:

  • Have flexibility and other income sources

  • Want control over when you work

  • Are reliable and professional when you do commit to a shift

  • Can pivot quickly when called

Critical note: On-call work means there's no guarantee of shifts. We need people who understand this model and are genuinely comfortable with it.

Starting Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of both primary and secondary transport operations, including the seamless movement of cannabis products from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to final destinations.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities strictly adhere to relevant safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

  • Documentation: Maintain precise and comprehensive records of all transportation activities, including delivery logs, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports.

  • Communication: Act as a key liaison between the logistics team and customers, providing timely updates and effectively addressing any issues or concerns.

  • Product Security: Uphold the integrity and security of cannabis products throughout the transport process, including the secure loading and unloading of products.

  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve transportation-related issues promptly, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route deviations.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirements: At least 21 years of age. 

  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Reliability: Demonstrated punctuality and dependability are critical.

  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Attention to Detail: Exemplary accuracy in documentation, handling of products, and following instructions.

  • Commitment to Safety: Strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

  • Handling Sensitive Materials: Proven capacity to assume responsibility in managing cannabis products and related documentation.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant transportation and cannabis regulations (training provided).

  • Entry Level: No prior experience necessary, although experience in logistics or transportation is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Requirements: Capability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.

  • Work Environment: Primarily working in and out of vehicles, with potential exposure to various weather conditions.

  • Travel: Frequent travel between licensed cannabis establishments or licensed package stores.
